Playin' for Green and Gold...gold?

No need to hug the trophy too hard these days, 2012 Australian Open winners will pocket $2.3 millions Australian dollars. With the current exchange rate that is about $2.18 USD.

Times a' tougher at the elite end of sport. How do these people survive?

WOW what a way to win a match! Kirilenko just keeps on keeping on! Possibly living up to her potential at last!

Princess wins 7-5 in the third.

McHale didn't get bageled but lost easily 2 and 1.

Jarka will win, the Big Stuffed Bunny is not playing well and besides we no longer are in the U.S. hard courts were she excells.

I'll wait after today to make predictions. Both the Imbecile and the Buffoon play today.

Great for Princess!

According to the WTA, Serena Williams is not entered in any more tournaments this year, so it appears that the 13-time Grand Slam champion’s 2011 season is over. Serena's agent, Jill Smoller, confirmed to TENNIS.com that Serena is not entered in any more events this year.

After falling in the final of U.S. Open to Samantha Stosur, Serena pulled out of mandatory tournaments Tokyo and Beijing for unspecified medical reasons. Because she ended last year ranked in the top 10. Serena will receieve zero-pointers for both those tournaments and will also be fined.

Hmmmm. Call me suspicious.

I read somewhere Caps that the toe has swollen up, or there is something wrong with the toe. I think its best to end her season and not push it any further.

Carlos I am going to make my predictions for today's matches anyway :P

Aga in 3
Bepa in 2
Vika in 2
Petko in 3
Jeepers Scheepers in 2

You got one prediction down Captain, Angry Bird won in straights sets. Too bad Jeepers Cheepers lost in two.

Thank you Caps and Captain for the info. If Serena is injured might as well call it for the year. Sadly Serena is becoming like her sister snap, crackle, and pop.

Imbecile beats Vera (how embarrassing for her!) 6-2, 6-1.

Aggie won against Zheng 6-1, 6-4.

It is a good day to be an Imbecile and a Buffoon who just defeated Sponge Bart 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Princess over Pasnek

Niculescu over Razzano

Angry Bird over Nasti Pav I'll be rooting for Nasti.

Kanepi over The Big Stuffed Bunny because I'm biased.
