Azarenka makes semi final break through. Lisicki, Sharapova and Kvitova to join her.

It was a 'moving' match (pardon the pun) for the highest women's seed left in the draw as she made history. Victoria Azarenka and Tamira Paszek began their match on court 1 however after one game, officials made the decision to move the match to Centre Court.

Azarenka looked very match at home and very dangerous as she was firing winners from all wing to race to 5-1 lead. A little bit of nervous kicked in but Azarenka served it out to 6-3. With victory basically just a question of when not will Victoria started hitting freer as she dominated the second set to wrap a 6-3 6-1 victory and finally making her Grand Slam semi final debut.

Wild Card Sabine Lisicki came into her semi final with only victory on her mind and the Birmingham champion appeared fresher after Bartoli had played oer 8 hours on court winning the first set 6-4. Lisicki held four match points in the second set but Bartoli stepped up when she needed to, and remembered she had just taken out Serena Williams to force a third set by winning a tie breaker. With all of Bartoli's energy gone on winning the second and her pre-point rituals Lisicki was dominant in the third winning eventually 6-4 6-7 6-1.

Maria Sharapova, the only previous Grand Slam champion to make the quarter finals, was brutal in her revenge demolishing of Dominika Cubulkova dropping just two games. Sharapova was seeking revenge for the pairs 2009 Roland Garros quarter final where Cibulkova dropped only two games, and was two points away from double beagling Sharapova. Sharpova will now be Lisicki's opponent in the semi final, Sharapova has won the pairs only previous encounter, in Miami earlier this year 6-0 6-2. But Lisicki has improved in leaps and bounds since then and as not lost on grass yet this year.

The final quarter final was battled out between 2010 Wimbledon surprise semi finalists Petra Kvitova and Tsvetana Pironkova. Now let me just say this, sometimes we have clay court specialists, well in Pironkova we have found a grass court specialist, SW19 just makes her come alive. She won more match at Wimbledon this year that what she had for the rest of year! Anyway, Kvitova proved to strong and continued her very impressive year with a  6-3 6-7 6-2 win and Kvitova will now play Aarenka as both players battle to make their first Grand Slam Final.

SF's

Sharapova vs Lisicki
Azarenka vs Kvitova

No prediction yet, only that...both semi's will go to three.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd for Lucinda;

I think Lisicki vs Azarenka will be the final two. Or the louder possibility, if Lisicki will have not enough left in the tank or forgets the earplugs,LOL

Hopfully for Lisicki it will be raining heavy again, just to soften the noise! :) I do think Azarenka will make the final match, not decided on Lisicki/Sharapova. Can't wait to find out!

I'm very excited about the final 4 this year! Can't wait to watch the matches. Will probably have a prediction when it comes to the final.

Four blonds went to the Wimbledon semifinals, no, is not a joke.

Let me start with the last Photo of Angry Bird. I can make a thousand jokes about it but I'll be banned from this blog and I don't want that, so I 'll make only one:

Looks like Azarenka is ready to taste the sweet and sour nectar.

(Am I still able to post?)

Divapova Vs. Licki Bean

I'm taking Divapova due to the experience factor. Licki had a choke on the second set against Sponge Bart in the QFs, she had three match points go to waste. The pressure is greater at this stage and I don't think she can handle it. Licki has a serve that can rival Divapova's, it will come down who can return a serve better, who can serve better, and who can handle the pressure. I give the edge to the Diva. If someone can take out Divapova is Licki but I do not see it in this stage. I said this before and I'll say it again, I love Divapova's game, hate the woman. Yes, I'll be rooting for Licki Bean.

The Battle For The Grand Slam Eggs
Ostrich Vs. Angry Bird

Off-court The Ostrich is doing everything to not win this tournament. Playing a tournament a week before a slam, and going toe to toe in the final of that tournament. To top everything the night before her QF match she went to Scotland to see a country music concert, what is up with that? And I'm talking both going to the concert and her taste in music, haha. She looked like a machine against WickiWickiWicki, but IMO she looked sluggish against Pironkova. On the other hand Angry Bird has lost only a set against Dani H. and she has been playing impressively; however she should come with a warning: "Angry Bird can self destruct in five seconds". She is a ticking time bomb. She hasn't been there Ostrich has, nerves will get to A.B. and once she starts playing to a level that she is not expecting her temper will take over and make her blow up (assuming she doesn't get injure). Again Love Angry Bird's game but can't stand the woman. I'm taking and I'll be rooting for the Ostrich of course.

I'm taking the women who have been there not the newbies.

Captain, regardless of who wins Wimbledon it will be a Caucasian woman like in my dream.
