Conspiracy Theory - Separated at birth?

While tuning into Radio Roland Garros (following Lucinda's advice) they mentioned something that got me thinking. Now they don't look like triplets, but these three women do look very very similar! Of course they are, Jarmilla Gajdosova, Natalie Portman and Martina Hingis. And yes I do believe they do look quite similar, so the only logical solution is they were separated at birth! Or because they are all different ages, their mothers had the same milkman!

Now in all seriousness they do look similar...to me anyway! What do y'all think?

Emily - No.

Julia just lost the first set to Safarova 6-2. Too many unforced errors!

Natalie Portman and Gorgeous J. yes, they both have some similarities. The cocaine user NO! Captain, don't compare junkies to beautiful women.

The Big Bunny won the first set 6-3 even though she was broken twice. Wozniak has the right intention, pound the Bunny to submission but she is making too many unforced errors. The Bunny is not looking good serving, her serve looks weak.

Well this is awkward! Hahahaha. I can see it. More so in the similarities of Jarka and Portman. Hingis not so much. But yes I can see it more so in Jarka and Portman!

Julia is ontrack for an "upset" but Lucie is a good player, so I don't think its a huge upset! It only ruins my predictions :\

Julia WINS 2-6, 7-5, 6-2!!

Aces - 8
Winners - 38
Double faults - 8
Unforced errors - 34

Rather surprised she had so many doubles.

Carlos, how do you feel about these doubles teams?

Women's Doubles - 1st Round
Jelena Dokic(AUS) /
Melanie Oudin(USA)

Women's Doubles - 1st Round
Julia Goerges(GER) /
Andrea Petkovic(GER)

Fell asleep when the Woz/Woz match was at 5-4 in favor of the Candian.

Caps321, I see the German team being a strong team that can be capable of making a few upsets. They are both pretty good single players it will translate into doubles, it is worth keeping an eye on them.

Dokic/Mr. Oudin, I don't get the feeling that they can be a strong team, Dokic needed to partner up with someone more seasoned and a better doubles player maybe like JJ or at least Peer. BTW Dokic/Mr. Oydin lost in the first round while the Germans advanced.

I have to make a correction I said Gorgeous J. looking similar to Portman, I meant to say Jarmilla. My only excuse for the mistake is that it was 3am on the West Coast.

Do you think Bird/Princess can take out Julia/Petko?

Carlos said...

Good question Caps321, I would say that it would be a hard fought match, it can go to the super tie breaker; I will take The Princess/A. Bird because they been playing execellent tennis, in the last tournament that both played together they took out four quality teams to take the title.

Thanks, Carlos. Btw, wouldn't this be the first time Julia & Petko played doubles together? (I have no idea since I'm a new fan of hers.)

Also noticed Julia is playing mixed doubles as well.. Not sure if she'll have enough energy to get past Bartoli/Stosur and then to do a 3 peat on Bunny's tail in the quarters!

I believe it is the first time that Julia and Petkovic are playing together; but when King/Shvedova played together for the first time it was at a slam (I think) they ended up winning the grand slam title. Perhaps the Captain or Clefairy can confirm. It is all about chemistry when it comes to doubles.

The Bunny didn't look convincing against Wozniak. Her serve is suspect, opponents can still pound the Bunny into submission, she is still returning the ball where her opponent is, and her left thigh is wrapped.
